Wakestock is Europe’s largest wakeboard music festival. We’ve been involved since day one, helping take it from a party on a headland for 500 people, to a 15,000 strong festival and one of the worlds most prestigious wakeboard competitions.
Cardigan provides the festival management for Wakestock. Looking after all the day to day enquiries, overseeing all areas of the event including the logistics and transport, liaising with local authorities, looking after the athletes, and managing the artist budget and bookings.
As well as dealing with the everyday running of the festival we also provide all of the art direction, undertaking all of the graphic design and web work from posters and flyers, to merch and web design.
Wakestock’s website and social media is a hugely powerful marketing tool. Using WordPress, one of the worlds most powerful CMS (computer management system) programs we built and designed a site that is functional and appeals to the festivals young demographic. The beauty of this web platform is Wakestock staff can add news items, edit text and manipulate images with no web design experience.
Cardigan has built up a strong following on Wakestocks social media sites. Running competitions, posting news items, videos and photos we have engaged with it’s prospective audience, pushed ticket sales and increased the festivals online presence from 700 Facebook follower in 2010 to over 30,000 in 2013, plus 8,000 twitter followers.
